With sustainability and eco-consciousness at the heart of what we do, we didn’t want to create just any candle! So we spent time researching and discovering how our very own collection of candles could truly fit within the core values of Allumee.
Our first finding was that wax made from the material ‘paraffin’ is used to create a large percentage of candles on the market today. However, being a byproduct of petroleum and containing toxins that pollute the air each time a paraffin candle is lit, we soon realised that this was not the wax for us!
After exploring a range of alternative waxes, our findings eventually led us to create a candle collection made from a pure beeswax and soy wax blend. Due to it being an entirely natural material, beeswax is widely considered the most environmentally friendly wax. Producing negative ions when burned, those ions help to neutralize pollutants in the air, resulting in beeswax candles having the purest of flames. As well as being natural, soy wax is also vegan, meaning it's also an incredibly eco-friendly material. The waxes natural components also mean that they’re 100 percent biodegradable! An additional reason we use a blend ratio of 80% beeswax and 20% soy wax is because whilst beeswax ensures a strong minimal drip candle with a good burn time, adding a blend of soy wax gives the candle a creamy and buttery finish / texture which helps to elevate the aesthetic of these beautiful pastel shades.
Carefully hand poured by us in the UK, these candles are truly special and are sure to be a beautifully eye catching and unique feature in any home or at any event! These candles are slightly tapered at the bottom to ensure they fit in most candlesticks. In the rare case that they are too small or too large for a candlestick, the ends can easily be softened with a lighter to fit or stick but always check the candle is secure and never leave it unattended.
Each candles burn time is approximately 6-7 hours

Health & Safety!
To prevent fire and serious injury, burn candle within sight. Keep away from drafts and vibrations. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn candle on or near anything that can catch fire. We recommend trimming your candles wick to around 5mm before lighting it.
All orders will be shipped using Royal Mail. In order to provide affordable shipping costs we use their standard delivery service for UK orders, which is extremely reliable. However we totally understand if you would prefer your items to be shipped with a tracked delivery service, so you have the option to select tracking when you view your basket. All international orders will be shipped with Royal Mail's tracked service.
